You can control the effects with the controller buttons on the disco ball,  set it to whichever light effect that you like, whether it be a strobe light or a spinning effect.

    The disco light is perfect for parties, or if you are you DJ it would make a wonderful addition to your system. I am amazed at how pretty the lights are they form perfect circles and many patterns. So blue, red, and green. The whole disco light works on electricity so it must be plugged into an electrical outlet. It is not too big you can set it on the table next to your equipment and will look pretty because the actual dome shaped deviceis not ugly to look at at all. It is way more than I expected I expected actually a smaller light, so when I received this one I was so excited. I am actually going to use it on New Year's eve when my family comes over to celebrate with us. It will feel like we are in a nightclub.
