My umbrella I received in blue. It is 32" and when opened its diameter is 40". This umbrella requires 3 AAA batteries not included. When I received it I could not figure out where the batteries go in . It took me a few minutes to finally figure out the you have to untwist the handle part of the umbrella to insert the batteries . The end of the umbrella has a button that allows you to control the light settings. The lights change to different colors and different flashing patterns. The umbrella is unique, I have never seen one light up as beautifully as this one. This is the perfect umbrella to go out at night with. It even has a flashlight mode, which is great for finding keys in the dark, or lighting up your path as you walk in the rain. This umbrella is very durable and won't bend back on a windy stormy night. I was so excited to use it and was actually for the first time praying for rain. I finally got a chance to use it. It rained and I was outttt. I got so many compliments on my umbrella. I felt like a star lol. I did refer a few people to Amazon to purchase one . I love it and everyone should definitely buy one.
